We’ve Updated our Privacy Policy

We have updated our Privacy Policy in preparation for the EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) later this month. We value your privacy, as fellow internet users, and believe that the additional transparency required by European law can only be a good thing, irrespective of where you live.

Your experience using Vampr’s services will not change. We are giving you more information so that you can better understand how we collect and use your personal information and what your rights are in relation to the personal data we have collected.

Vampr collects and processes your personal information in order to provide and operate our services. We may also collect and process your data for research which helps us improve our services and keep our users safe on Vampr. In order to do so, we may disclose your information to third parties. Where possible, Vampr will aggregate and/or make anonymous your personal information so that it cannot be used to identify you. You can withdraw your consent or object to us processing your personal information at any time by contacting support@vampr.me.

We will collect the following personal information in order to provide you with access to and use of our services and for the purposes outlined above:

  • Name;
  • Age;
  • Date of birth;
  • Sex;
  • Music ‘likes’ (on Facebook pages that identify as Musical Artists); and
  • Three (3) of your most recent profile pictures (from Facebook).

If you choose to provide Vampr with the following personal information, we may process it for the purposes outlined above:

  • Location data;
  • User input biography;
  • Favourite artists;
  • Pictures;
  • YouTube videos;
  • SoundCloud content;
  • User identified skills;
  • Music preferences; and
  • Search preferences (including user skills, genres, age, location/distance and gender).

You have the right to ask Vampr if and how your personal information is being processed and to request a copy of the personal information you have provided. You also have the right to have your personal data erased and in some circumstances, to object to having your personal information processed.

Without your explicit consent, we will not process data that may reveal certain personal information such as your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions and religious or philosophical beliefs.

You are able to access and amend much of your personal data by logging into your account. This allows you to ensure that your personal information remains up to date and rectify any inaccurate personal information.
