Meet Vampr’s newest investors: two NHL ice hockey stars and a prolific angel investor

By Vampr

As our crowdfunding campaign continues to build in grassroots momentum — driven primarily by Vampr users — so too does the list of publicly notable investors. Last week was our biggest week yet with $50,000 raised from the crowd. It’s all really kicking off now in the leadup to our January 16 close-date!

Today we’re delighted to share with you another update highlighting some of our newest investors.

Miles Wood

Miles

Miles is an American professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL.

We asked Miles what attracted him to Vampr: “Since 2017 I’ve been tracking startups and different VC trends in anticipation of finding a company I’m passionate about to invest in. Vampr was the first company that truly excited me. I really believe in their mission to connect everybody in the music industry, regardless of where they live, their skill level or age. This opens up a world of opportunity to anyone who ever dreamed of having a career in music or even just having their songs heard.”

“I know what it’s like to pursue a passion and how important finding and developing a support network becomes in making that dream come true. With the ever changing nature of the music business and Vampr’s powerful ability to connect people through music this is a winning combination, and it’s ultimately what rooted my excitement in the company.”

John Hayden

John

Miles couldn’t resist bringing the opportunity to his teammates, and so we are now also joined by fellow New Jersey Devil and Yale expat John Hayden.

Why did you invest in Vampr, John? “The music space is growing and presents immense opportunity at the moment. Vampr is positioned to capitalize on this by providing artists with the platform to build relationships and find solutions to their needs. Making connections and building solid support networks are paramount to finding success and enjoying a career in any industry. Vampr makes this easy for creatives.”

“I’ve always loved music, and now I have the opportunity to invest in a platform that I’m passionate about. I’m excited to join Vampr and watch it grow into an indispensable tool for every player in the creative arts world.”

Sunmeet Jolly

Sunmeet

Sunmeet is a prolific Silicon Valley angel investor (seriously, check it out: http://www.crunchbase.com/person/sunmeet-jolly). He’s also a 20+ year software industry veteran, working alongside many Fortune 500 clients including HP, Oracle and Ingram Micro.

In his own words: “Being a founder of the patented GROTU app, and an angel investor in 33 startups — not to mention a lover of music — I’m betting Vampr will successfully climb the mountain!”

We’re thrilled to pieces to have all three of you plus every other one of our new investors on board for the ride! Welcome to the family 🎉

With well over 800 investors now there are undoubtedly many more of you with skills, access and credentials that could benefit Vampr — we ask that you please let yourself be known and get in touch with us via email. Baz and I would love to chat ✌️

And of course, if you still haven’t invested in Vampr, well, what are you waiting for?! There’s only six weeks left — www.wefunder.com/vampr
