This week Wefunder reached out to us to see if we’d record a 2 minute video highlighting all the incredible things we’ve been able to achieve since launching our first crowdfunding round about two and a half years ago.
Now, there’s only a few days left in our third round with Wefunder! So without further ado, let’s start the clock and see how many achievements I can get through in the next two minutes. Let’s go!
- Rebuilt, rebranded and relaunched the app in 7 months after promising to do it in 9
- Crossed 1 million users including more than 600,000 new accounts since our first crowdfunding round
- Launched Vampr Publishing which now represents over 55,000 songs with the catalog growing 14% MoM
- Launched Vampr Pro, our premium subscription service which has now been used by over 11,000 members and enjoys a 3% adoption rate among active users
- Launched an ad division with our own proprietary ads manager and sales team, who have consistently sold out ad inventory as we race to expand it
- Doubled the number of professional connections brokered in-app from 3 and a half million to over 7 million professional connections, with an average user making at least 2 new connections per session, putting us on equal footing with Facebook
- Almost quadrupled the average time in app from 8 minutes to 31 minutes
- Improved our LTC:CAC ratio in just the past 12 months alone from 0.1 to 2.1
- Watched as the number of messages sent in app each month tripled
- Welcomed APRA into the fold as an official sponsor of Vampr
- Celebrated several members of the community including Carpool Tunnel and Rae Khalil who have both signed recording deals since getting started on Vampr
- Enjoyed LOTS of press including mentions on FOX, ABC, CBS, New York Times, The Music Network, MIXMAG, Beat, NASDAQ, Yahoo, Forbes, and TechCrunch
- App Store and Google Play Features (lots of them!)
- 30 Under 30 nod for Josh
- Improved diversity in the workplace with team members from all over the world and an even male / female split
- Introduced social features such as rooms, Vamps, questions and the feed
- Nominated for countless awards including Music Week’s Music Consumer Innovation award two years in a row and most recently Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list 2022
- Free music distribution
- Our first ever plugin, working with MNTRA on FRCTURE which was installed by over 15000 users in the first month alone
- And lastly, we’ve welcomed 2,600+ investors from over 50 countries, raising an additional $2.4M in total since we first launched on Wefunder
