A super quick update today to say Happy New Year from the entire Vampr team!

As many countries wake up to celebrate the last day of 2019 it couldn’t be more appropriate that we hit one more milestone — almost certainly the final milestone — for the year:

Our equity crowdfunding campaign now has investors in 40 countries — with Bahrain taking the title of Country #40!

This is mind blowing to all of us at Vampr HQ — it’s also incredible global social proof of the power and resonance of this campaign and the opportunity that lies therein.

So if you find yourself spending today or tomorrow reflecting on the decade that’s been and the exciting possibilities that lay ahead in a brand new decade, consider a New Years investment in Vampr and the global community of fearless creatives that exist on our platform — this is our time and we couldn’t be any more excited! ➡️ www.wefunder.com/vampr

Celebrate and be safe — Josh & Baz ✌️

For a lot of us, today marks the end of the working year. We’ve won some, we’ve lost some but we’re now looking ahead to the exciting challenges of a new decade, in a world increasingly connected.

A big part of this conversation is consumer privacy — what roles and choices do consumers have with the various social networks they use and have come to depend on.

Vampr is at the bleeding edge of this conversation, as reported by most of the largest press publications in the United States this week. Have a read at your favorite news site and enjoy the break 📖🍹🌴

We originally featured Rae Khalil and Jared Rubens in May 2018 after they first met on Vampr.

Rae has since gone on to appear on the Netflix show Rhythm + Flow and their work has received co-signs from Queen Latifah, Chance The Rapper, Anderson Paak, TI, Sway and Snoopdogg, to name but a few.

Describing the journey to her debut album, Girlfriend (out now), Rae says, “We made the album out of [industry] frustration. When you don’t have all the resources… you gotta do the work”.

Stories like these are why we made Vampr ✌️

There are less than six weeks remaining to invest in Vampr — join us today at www.wefunder.com/vampr

As our crowdfunding campaign continues to build in grassroots momentum — driven primarily by Vampr users — so too does the list of publicly notable investors. Last week was our biggest week yet with $50,000 raised from the crowd. It’s all really kicking off now in the leadup to our January 16 close-date!

Today we’re delighted to share with you another update highlighting some of our newest investors.

Miles Wood

Miles

Miles is an American professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL.

We asked Miles what attracted him to Vampr: “Since 2017 I’ve been tracking startups and different VC trends in anticipation of finding a company I’m passionate about to invest in. Vampr was the first company that truly excited me. I really believe in their mission to connect everybody in the music industry, regardless of where they live, their skill level or age. This opens up a world of opportunity to anyone who ever dreamed of having a career in music or even just having their songs heard.”

“I know what it’s like to pursue a passion and how important finding and developing a support network becomes in making that dream come true. With the ever changing nature of the music business and Vampr’s powerful ability to connect people through music this is a winning combination, and it’s ultimately what rooted my excitement in the company.”

John Hayden

John

Miles couldn’t resist bringing the opportunity to his teammates, and so we are now also joined by fellow New Jersey Devil and Yale expat John Hayden.

Why did you invest in Vampr, John? “The music space is growing and presents immense opportunity at the moment. Vampr is positioned to capitalize on this by providing artists with the platform to build relationships and find solutions to their needs. Making connections and building solid support networks are paramount to finding success and enjoying a career in any industry. Vampr makes this easy for creatives.”

“I’ve always loved music, and now I have the opportunity to invest in a platform that I’m passionate about. I’m excited to join Vampr and watch it grow into an indispensable tool for every player in the creative arts world.”

Sunmeet Jolly

Sunmeet

Sunmeet is a prolific Silicon Valley angel investor (seriously, check it out: http://www.crunchbase.com/person/sunmeet-jolly). He’s also a 20+ year software industry veteran, working alongside many Fortune 500 clients including HP, Oracle and Ingram Micro.

In his own words: “Being a founder of the patented GROTU app, and an angel investor in 33 startups — not to mention a lover of music — I’m betting Vampr will successfully climb the mountain!”

We’re thrilled to pieces to have all three of you plus every other one of our new investors on board for the ride! Welcome to the family 🎉

With well over 800 investors now there are undoubtedly many more of you with skills, access and credentials that could benefit Vampr — we ask that you please let yourself be known and get in touch with us via email. Baz and I would love to chat ✌️

And of course, if you still haven’t invested in Vampr, well, what are you waiting for?! There’s only six weeks left — www.wefunder.com/vampr
